Community Service

Our community service projects focus on improving public health for women and children. And if you're looking for programs like Habitat for Humanity in Peru, you'll work here to combat child malnutrition in Andean communities through the construction of food production projects, such as greenhouses, communal fish farms and "cuy" or guinea pig farms. All communities have different needs; your specific project will address the community’s specific food needs.

Hands-On Learning

The Quechua people of the Peruvian Andes are the direct descendants of the Inca Empire. We will learn firsthand about their unique and rich culture through Andean music workshops, meetings with a traditional shaman and a visit to a local llama farm. Informally, you'll experience the local culture through soccer games with local youth, meetings with farming communities and engaging discussions with non-profit organizations.

Adventure

The Sacred Valley surrounding Cusco is full of archaeological marvels built by the Inca Empire. We'll explore many of these famous sites and even camp along the trail on our hike to incredible Machu Picchu. We'll also visit Pisac, one of Peru's largest artisanal markets. Every day is an adventure in the Andes, during our afternoons we might go for a hike, play soccer with local people, or visit a local farm, all the while shrouded in the mighty mountain shadows.
